Payal Burnham is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She currently works with school-aged students in both the school and home settings with a variety of speech, language and literacy needs.

Payal was inspired to write these children's stories by the students and families she works with everyday! While most of stories focus on her experiences in the field, some of her stories also draw on her personal life. In this way, Payal strives to make her books, relatable, engaging and fun for its readers. She also hopes that these books will help children and families incorporate the learning and practice of speech and language skills in their everyday routines. 

Payal lives in Mississauga, Ontario with her husband and her daughter.
